Phonograph & Tea - Oussama Abdel Fattah - Citerne Beirut

Oussama Abdel Fattah is a Lebanese musician & Oud player who combines tradition and modernity in Arabic music. Starting from his passion for traditional music, trying to reconnect it with the current musical reality, he founded a group that preserves traditional musical forms with fellow students in 2003, participated in the Asil Ensemble for Arab Classical Contemporary Music since 2007, and toured France between 2010 and 2014 with the "Nahas Project"-Sebastian Bertrand- to play a contemporary folkloric style of the western region of France. He began working as archivist and sound engineer on the recordings of the early 20th century at the AMAR Foundation in 2012, which enabled him to gain a broader understanding of traditional music, especially the singing aspect, where he developed a special method of training in Arabic singing and which made him distinguished at the moment as a vocal coach.

Live in Concert Safar - Citerne Beirut

Safar is a Lebanese duo founded in 2013 by Mayssa Jallad (vocals) and Elie Abdelnour (electric guitar). They currently live across continents from one another, playing shows when they reunite, whether in the USA or in their hometown Beirut. Their music is "a very personal take on American and British psychedelic folk, infused with modern pop and rock references, as well as subtle references to the Lebanese golden age of 60's surf." (Ziad Naufal, Ruptured) They released the EP "Studies of an Unknown Lover" in 2018 and "In Transit" , a compilation of their first three EPs in 2017, all produced by Fadi Tabbal at Tunefork Studios. The band possesses a strong and widespread following in Lebanon, gathered over the years thanks to a number of intimate performances marked by singer Jallad’s emotional vocal delivery and Abdelnour’s intricate guitar work.

Pól EP Launch - Live Concert - Citerne Beirut

Pól is a singer songwriter based in Beirut, Lebanon. A modern dreamer, Pól finds ecstasy in the beauty of nature, capturing passing clouds, old vintage buildings, doors and windows, tracking beauty in her daily rhythm… Humming vanishing harmonies and finding them later on piano notes, within the intimate setting of her music space. With a history of music in her life, Paola - her given name - started her journey as a singer in church choirs, guitar lessons, poetry and song writing. In 2018, Pól was born amidst a breakup and several trips through NYC, California Prague and Barcelona - cities that inspired emotions… emotions that flowed into words and melodies. Welcome to the world of Pól.
