Description:
عايشين (Aayshin) - Can’t Complain is a contemporary dance work that explores the
fragile, evolving relationship we have with the idea of home. Through a series
of choreographic worlds, the performance navigates survival, ambition, inner
conflict, memory, exhaustion, and the search for belonging; not only within
physical spaces, but within the body and mind themselves.
As crises become routine and instability turns familiar, the work questions
what happens when chaos becomes comforting, and rest begins to feel foreign.
Moving between fragmentation and softness, tension and release, عايشين reflects on the ways we adapt, endure, disconnect, and
continue even when “home” no longer feels stable, tangible, or certain.
Built through overlapping
choreographic layers and a shifting scaffolding landscape, the work brings
together different perspectives that intersect, collapse, rebuild, and coexist;
much like the unstable foundations we continue to call home.
