Set in 1970s Lebanon, “سباحة بالهوا” is a bittersweet comedy about Patricia and Dounia, two young women confined to a convent-like mental institution for defying social expectations.
To survive years of isolation, they create alter egos, Sisi and Didi and an imaginative world of their own.
As the play unfolds, the reasons behind their confinement gradually come to light.
Blending humor and heartbreak, the play celebrates friendship,
resilience, and the longing for freedom in the face of quiet oppression.
