Synopsis:
Souraya Mon Amour invites us into the private world of Souraya Baghdadi, a world filled with dance, film, meditation, memories, and deep reflection. It’s a world still touched by the presence of her late husband, Maroun Baghdadi, a legendary Lebanese filmmaker. Their story began in 1981 during the filming of Little Wars in war-torn Beirut, where Souraya played the lead role. After the movie premiered at Cannes, they moved to Paris and started a life together. But in December 1993, Maroun died suddenly and mysteriously, just as Souraya was expecting their third child. Today, three decades later, Souraya revisits the fragments of a life once suspended. Through distant conversations, tender archives, and moments of introspection, a love story unfolds, unveiling the fragile tension of a bond shaped by presence—and even more profoundly, by absence.
