Sunset can’t be more magical except if we spend it on a top of a hill overlooking a beautiful scenery. This time we are heading to Laqlouq to witness this fascinating phenomenon.

Our hike will be divided into 2 levels:

Level 2 – will be an easy hike starting by visiting “Saydet al Arn” where beautiful scenery can be seen from the surroundings. We will have the time to take pictures and enjoy the views of the lakes of Laqlouq.

Level 4 – Will start the hike on a beautiful moderate uphill track leading us to “Saydet al Arn” to meet with the easy level. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the landscapes that this area offers while feeling an amazing breeze.

We will all sit in a special place located in the heart of Laqlouq hills and enjoy some traditional delicacies such as manakish on saj, roasted potatoes, corn and warm tea.

We will then head to a huge white cross overlooking the area from which you will experience a breathtaking sunset view. We will sit there calmly and enjoy sharing this moment all together.

Once the sunsets, we will head back to the area where a bonfire will take place before we head back to Beirut.

WHAT TO GET: A light snack that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits and water. You must wear hiking shoes or comfortable walking shoes.  Get a light jacket since it gets cold during the last hours of the day and at night. Don’t forget to get a flashlight.

SPECIAL RATES:

- Children with the age of 10 and younger will have a discount of 20’000 LBP

- Children/ Teenagers between the age of 11 and 18 will have a discount of 15’000 LBP

- University students will have a discount of 10’000 LBP provided that they present their university card

- Groups with 5 to 9 persons, with different criteria than the above, will get a 5’000 LBP discount

- Groups with 10 or more persons, with different criteria than the above, will get a 10’000 LBP discount

PAYMENT TERMS:

- Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged half-price

- Reservations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged an extra 20’000 LBP

(e.g. Cancelling or booking for a Sunday’s event on Saturday will be subject to the above terms)

ESSENTIAL ECOTOURISTIC RULES & REGULATIONS

- Smoking is strictly prohibited during the event

- Always follow the guide on the designated trail

- Do not go off road without notifying the guide

- Do not get close to a cliff especially when the guide in charge tells you not to do so

- Although accidents are covered by the insurance but they remain under the responsibility of the member

- Sometimes, due to reasons beyond our control, slight modifications to the program may occur. Ecotourism rules must be followed, otherwise personal accidents will not be accounted for by the insurance.

LAQLOUQ Au Coucher du soleil

Randonnée

Le coucher du soleil ne peut pas être plus magique qu’au sommet d’une colline dominant un beau paysage. Cette fois-ci, nous irons à Laqlouq pour assister à ce fascinant phénomène.

Notre randonnée sera divisée en deux niveaux.

Niveau 2- Ce sera une randonnée facile. Nous commencerons par visiter « Saydet al Am » et  nous pourrons admirer le paysage alentour. Nous aurons assez de temps pour prendre des photos et contempler les vues sur les lacs de Laqlouq.

Niveau 4- Nous commencerons notre marche sur un joli sentier modéré qui monte jusqu’à «Saydet al Arn», où nous retrouverons le niveau facile. Nous contemplerons la belle vue des paysages que cette région nous offre en respirant à pleins poumons.

Nous nous installerons dans un endroit special au cœur des collines de Laqlouq pour déguster quelques mets traditionnels, tels que des «manakishs» sur le saj, des pommes de terre rôties, du maïs grillé et du thé bien chaud. 

Nous irons ensuite vers une grande croix blanche qui domine la région d’où nous assisterons au splendide coucher de soleil. Nous resterons assis dans le calme et apprécierons ce moment tous ensembles.

Quand le soleil aura disparu, nous retournerons à l’endroit du feu de camp avant de rentrer à Beyrouth.

A EMPORTER:  Un léger snack tel que des fruits secs pour vous redonner de l’énergie et un sac à dos avec eau. Vous devez porter des chaussures de randonnée ou des chaussures de marche confortables. Apporter une veste légère car il fait froid pendant les dernières heures de la journée et la nuit. N'oubliez pas de prendre une lampe de poche.

REGLES D’ECOTOURISME ESSENTIELLES ET REGLEMENT

- Interdiction de fumer durant l’événement.

- Toujours suivre le guide sur le chemin indiqué.

- Ne pas emprunter un chemin sans en avertir le guide.

- Ne pas s’approcher d’une falaise, particulièrement quand le guide dit de ne pas le faire.

- Bien que les accidents soient couverts par l’assurance, la responsabilité du membre est toujours engagée.

- Parfois, pour des raisons indépendantes de notre volonté de légères modifications pourront être apportées à notre programme.

- Les règles d’Ecotourisme doivent toujours être respectées. Dans le cas contraire, en cas d’accident, l’assurance ne pourrait pas vous prendre en charge.
