Synopsis

فيلم وثائقي شخصي يروي رحلة زهراء، مسترجعةً ذكرياتها المشتركة مع خالتها حياة، القابلة القانونية من بغداد. تتشابك هذه الذكريات مع حدث اختفاء صديقة طفولة زهراء، نور.

يقود البحث عن نور إلى اكتشاف شبكة من الأسرار المظلمة حول تخلّي بعض العائلات عن بناتهن. مع ذلك، يوفر لقاء عابر مع ناجيات بصيص أمل بأن نور قد تكون لا تزال على قيد الحياة.

A personal journey of a director, Zahraa, as she confronts a shared past with her aunt Hayat, a Baghdad midwife. They witnessed the disappearance of Zahraa's childhood friend, Nour. The search for Nour her to uncover dark secrets concerning families abandoning their daughters. A chance encounter with some survivors offers a glimmer of hope that Nour may still be alive.

Director’s Bio

زهراء فنانة تعمل كصانعة أفلام وممثلة وكاتبة. ولدت في عام 1991، بدأت حياتها المهنية ككاتبة ومخرجة للوثائقيات التلفزيونية. كممثلة، حصدت زهراء عدة جوائز دولية. كمخرجة حظي فيلمها الوثائقي الأول "فلانة" بإشادة كبيرة، حيث عرض لأول مرة في المسابقات الرئيسية في مهرجان تورنتو السينمائي، أمستردام، والقاهرة.

Based in Baghdad, Zahraa (b. 1991) is a self‑taught filmmaker, actress and writer. She began as a writer‑director of TV documentaries. Her debut doc, Flana, premiered in the main competitions at TIFF, IDFA and Cairo; as an actress she has won several international awards.
