Synopsis

من حلب المحاصرة إلى أروقة غرفة أخبار في لندن، تعيد الصحفية اللبنانية جناي بولس والناشط/المصوّر السوري عبد القادر حبق تتبّع قصة حبهما، مستعينين بأرشيفهما الشخصي الواسع الذي يمتد لأكثر من ١٣ عامًا من الثورات والحرب والمنفى. هل يمكن لحبهما أن يصمد أمام المسافة، والخطر، والاختلافات؟

From besieged Aleppo to the confines of a London newsroom, Lebanese journalist Janay Boulos and Syrian activist /cameraman Abd Alkader Habak retrace their love story, using their vast personal archives stretching over 13 years of revolutions, war and exile. Can their love survive distance, danger, and differences?

Directors’ bio

A Lebanese journalist and documentary filmmaker based between Lebanon and London, Janay Boulos has extensive experience in news, television production, digital media, and field production. She is currently working on several documentaries for international media organizations, including Al Jazeera and The New York Times, as well as her second feature-length documentary, “Until the Buzzing Stops”. 

A Syrian cinematographer, activist, and documentary filmmaker, Abd Alkader Habak has documented six years of the Syrian revolution. Based between London and Syria, his work blends journalism and human rights narratives, exploring themes of identity, exile, and return. He is currently working on two short documentaries, as well as his second feature film, “Until the Buzzing Stops”.

صحفية لبنانية ومنتجة أفلام وثائقية مقيمة بين لبنان ولندن، تمتلك خبرة واسعة في مجالات الأخبار والإنتاج التلفزيوني والإعلام الرقمي والإنتاج الميداني. تعمل حاليًا على إنتاج عدة أفلام وثائقية لصالح مؤسسات إعلامية دولية، من بينها الجزيرة ونيويورك تايمز، بالإضافة إلى فيلمها الوثائقي الطويل الثاني «لولا هذا الطنين». 

مصوّر سينمائي وناشط ومخرج أفلام وثائقية سوري، وثّق ست سنوات من الثورة السورية. يقيم بين لندن وسوريا، ويجمع عمله بين الصحافة وسرديات حقوق الإنسان، مستكشفًا قضايا الهوية والمنفى والعودة. يعمل حاليًا على فيلمين وثائقيين قصيرين، إضافة إلى فيلمه الطويل الثاني «لولا هذا الطنين».
