Synopsis

في كانون الأول ٢٠٢٥، أقرّ مجلس النواب اللبناني قرضًا بقيمة ٢٥٧.٨ مليون دولار لمعالجة أزمة مياه لم ينجح قرض سابق بقيمة ٣٧٠ مليون دولار في حلّها. المصدر ملوّث ومتأثر بتغير المناخ، والخطة تبدو مألوفة. لكن الوثائقي يطرح السؤال الذي لا يجيب عنه القرض: من أين ستأتي المياه؟

In December 2025, the Lebanese Parliament approved a $257.8 million loan to solve a water crisis its previous $370 million loan never fixed. The source is polluted and climate-stressed. The to-do list looks familiar. The film asks the question the loan does not answer: where will the water come from?

Director’s Bio

Adam Chamseddine is a Beirut-based journalist and Senior Policy Advisor at BADIL. With over a decade of media experience, his work focuses on corruption, governance and public policy. Capital of Thirst marks his directorial debut.
